Building Clusters, Ecosystem Collaboration and RIS3 Communication in South Savo

Building Clusters, Ecosystem Collaboration and RIS3 Communication in South Savo project (1.6.2021-31.8.2023) aims at improving the recognizability of South Savo RIS 3 (RIS3= Research, and Innovation Strategies for Smart Specialisation) via communication. The role of the project is vital in supporting the areal ecosystems and clusters in their co-operation. South Savo Regional Council promotes the building of areal clusters concretely and supports the cluster activity across East and North Finland, nationally and internationally.

The project advances the co-operation in between areal ecosystem networks and clusters and enable the use of various financing instruments for South Savo stakeholder networks in clusters.

The clusters linked to South Savo will especially promote the businesses in South Savo Smart Specialization Strategy 2022-2027 priority areas: forest, food, water, welfare and tourism. The project encourages the areal cluster activity in both cluster setup and development.

Furthermore, the project will create indicators to measure and monitor South Savo RIS3 for progress evaluation.
